Carigal, Raphael Hayyim Isaac
   Palestinian rabbi and emissary. He was born in Hebron. He served as an emissary to Jewish commu-nities in the Near East, Europe and the US; there he became a friend of Ezra Stiles (later president of Yale University), with whom he maintained an extensive correspondence.
